November 2018

Woah a little late in writing this but, got busy living life😊

November was a great month our first Big Boy Thanksgiving- steaks in stead of Turkey of course. We invested in some fishing equipment as we take our bonding time outside and really immerse ourselves in all the nature Virginia has to offer. It’s a beautiful place with 4 seasons and a lot of beautiful sites.

Evan was the angler of the day and hooked himself a small like brim out of the lake. We got to spend some great quality time together this month whether it was bowling or fishing or watching him in his school thanksgiving concert or seeing his face light up with pure joy as he picked out his Tortoise (which he names T-Rexy – of course 😊) it didn’t so much matter what we were doing but more so that WE were dong it. I’ve always known that but what a reminder this month. Separation and divorce and time apart makes you cherish ever single second together and not to take one smile or laugh or even tear for granted.

The absolute best part of the month was watching him at his school concert. His mom had him that day and dropped him off to school; I’m not sure if he knew I was coming or not. I wouldn’t have missed it for the world but I’m not sure he knew. Anyway, below is the video where he and his class walk in…look at the way his precious little face lights up when he sees me. I’m sure mine was even bigger and full of amazement.

That’s our love that’s our Big Boy Bond- can’t stop it, can’t break it, cant even slow it down.

I’ve watched this video easily 20 times when the days are long and hard, this look gives me the energy and courage to fight and press on.

LONG LIVE THE BIG BOYS
