Groove is in the Heart
What a whirlwind month, so many changes so many new adventures. But through it all the family fell perfectly into a "groove" for some reason it reminded me of the song "groove is in the heart" Wikipedia says it is a song that compares the new feelings of infatuation with hearing a good ("groovy") song. That's petty fitting, every month, week and day I become more and more infatuated and in love with these 4:)
Evan the wild man, this boy is developing so quickly its insane. He turned 9 months on September 2nd. He has 4 teeth now, eats a lot of "big kid" food, can pull him self up, sometimes stand up with no hands, identify people and toys by name, clap, wave hi, and crawl lightning fast. Every day I get home it seems like hes done/learned something new, what a great experience to watch this little man this person who is 50% me develop and grow. I only wish I could slow him down so I can savor every new little moment and experience, really cherish all of the little nuances that make him Evan Bryan Hill. I suppose all parents do, a lot of pictures and video is the best I can do.... for now:) Finding a groove with Evan is different in many ways then it is with Madeline, he does best on a schedule but doesn't always like to adhere to it:) so a good plan but flexibility seems to be the best way to approach every day;) Evan is just like his Sissy WILD, loves to be thrown up in the air, loves to play rough, loves loud noises, punching, kicking and growling.
Dad and Hercules really enjoyed this month. Fall in Virginia is true Bulldog weather cool mornings, moderate afternoons and even cooler nights means Hercules can go for walks and play outside with the family. Something i know he LOVES to do. Hercules has gotten use to Evan, I think he understand Evan is a person not another animal or toy lol. Its been really cool to see the interaction he has with the kids, and how much the kids love him. Evan crawls to the window to see him all the time and Madeline loves petting and playing with him.
That's our groove; taking on birthdays, school, baby milestones, weekend kid adventures, bills, work, sick kids, family obligations, ect ect and still finding time to snuggle, hold hands and express our love for each other. I hope when the kids are older then realize this, they realize how important it is to stay loving with your partner never get too wrapped up in life that you cant hold their hand cant take some time to say I love you to each other. Families are awesome but without love they are missing a huge part of what they truly can be, that's why i named our site Hill Family Love and that's why Ill never forget:)
