Best Year Ever!

March 2014 is already here! Time certainly does fly.

This is the 12 post to our website, which means Brenda and I have almost been married a year!  And what a year it was, we crammed in about 5 years’ worth of life events into just 12 months. 12 months full of love, excitement, adventure, babies, moving, school, starting new jobs, quitting old jobs, friends, family, travel, everyday life and the curve balls it may throw at you.

Our baby boy and his Baby Blues

Evan was just a tiny little peanut this time last year.  We didn’t know if he would be a boy, a girl or even if it would be a successful pregnancy.  The one thing we did know was that Dad wanted a boy and that i had already had his name picked out!  That was it that’s all we knew.  Look at him now he’s barley 4 months old, he’s swimming in 3 month old bottoms/pants while he is busting out the seams on 9 month old tops.  Can you say THAT’S MY BOY! He is Big and healthy with strong broad shoulders, barrel chest, and a tiny waist. He’s a HILL BOY! and an Evans boy and a Bryan boy, he is everything to all of us and makes our world go around.  He is a talker, boy is he a talker, from about month 2 he has been making the coos but now there are grunts, facial expressions, and lots and lots of laughter.  He is a happy baby, from the moment he wakes up to the moment he goes to be, he’s smiley and talking.  We can take him everywhere restaurants, shopping, California. He just rolls along smiling, laughing and eating eating eating! HA What a difference a year makes, I couldn’t imagine life without him and in fact I don’t want to! :)

Twins? lol

Herc and Dad are great; Hercules got his basement area upgraded with a new dog bed and a bigger area.  We have a neighbor watching him while we are away, this way he gets to stay in his home where he is the most comfortable.

So all the posts at the top of the page tell the story of our first year together as a family, I like that… no I LOVE that and I love that I got to share it with YOU.  Whoever you may be a friend, part of our family, or a random stranger who stumbled upon our page, thank you for taking this journey with us. I spent this month reflecting and trying to decide if I should renew the website and keep the blogging and pictures going, I questioned myself it in fact this was about the family or just a self-indulgent diatribe I go on once a month.  Maybe it’s a little of both, lol, but I’m a proud man, a proud Husband, and a very proud Father.  So I will keep this HILLFAMILYLOVE site going; I hope you stick around, check in on us and take the journey through the next year(s) with us :)

Love to all

The Hills
